algebra precalculus - Find the nth term and the sum to n terms of the following series

Find the nth term and sum to n terms of the following series.
1.3+2.4+3.5+

My Attempt:

Here,
nth term of 1+2+3+=n

nth term of 3+4+5+=n+2

Thus,

nth term of the series 1.3+2.4+3.5+=n(n+2)

tn=n2+2n

If Sn be the sum to n terms of the series then
Sn=tn
=(n2+2n)

How do I proceed?

Answer

ni=1(i2+2i)=ni=1i2+2ni=1i=n(n+1)(2n+1)6+2n(n+1)2

You might want to factorize the terms to simplify things.
