elementary number theory - Proving that $gcd(ac,bc)=|c|gcd(a,b)$

Let $a$, $b$ an element of $\mathbb{Z}$ with $a$ and $b$ not both zero and let $c$ be a nonzero integer. Prove that $$(ca,cb) = |c|(a,b)$$
