I am trying to find the limit of the sequence by using root test and I don't understand why the limit is not zero?
(the answer is inf).

By the root test:
lim supn→∞n√an=lim supn→∞n√n!4n=14lim supn→∞n√n!=14lim supn→∞n√exp(nlnn−n)=14lim supn→∞exp(lnn−1)=14elim supn→∞n=∞
Hence the sequence diverges to infinity.
